Helpful Tips for OBOA Members Writing an Exam Online

Here are some helpful tips to help you get ready for your upcoming online exam:

  1. Check your inbox and read the email from ProctorTrack to review the information on completing your onboarding process. Completing onboarding as soon as possible after registering for an exam, and well in advance of the exam date, gives you more opportunity to learn how to use your computer and phone for the online exam, and find help for problems that you might encounter.

  2. Instead of using your work computer, some people find it easier to use a personal desktop computer to complete the onboarding process and exam. Many work devices have restrictions (e.g., lack of administrator rights) that could prevent you from taking the steps necessary for the exam (e.g., closing non-essential program and background applications). For any technical issues using the ProctorTrack software on your computer or phone, please contact ProctorTrack directly at the phone number or email below.

  3. During onboarding, and again before your exam, ProctorTrack will need to scan a piece of your ID to confirm your identity. To ensure a successful scan, follow the instructions that will be displayed on your screen, including holding the ID close to the camera, keeping the ID steady during the scan, and using an ID where your name is clearly legible. If possible, choose ID where your name matches the name on your Humber registration.

  4. If you are uncomfortable with the onboarding process for an online exam, or have been unable to complete onboarding successfully, you have the option to contact Humber at OBCTesting@humber.ca to ask to reschedule your exam and write it in-person. Times and locations are limited, but Humber has increased its capacity to accommodate in-person exams to help meet demand.

  5. Questions or issues? Please contact:
