Updated Digital 2024 Building Code Compendium Now Available

The digital 2024 Building Code Compendium has been updated to include recent amendments to Ontario's 2024 Building Code. You can request your free copy online. 

The digital 2024 Compendium, dated November 4, 2024, incorporates changes related to Encapsulated Mass Timber Construction, Temporary Health and Residential Facilities, and minor housekeeping and editorial changes. 

The 2024 Building Code comes into effect on January 1, 2025, with a three-month transition period until March 31, 2025, for building permit applications for which the working drawings were substantially complete before January 1, 2025. 

Building Code exams provided by Humber College will continue to use the 2012 Building Code provisions. An announcement will be made at a later date about exam changes that correspond to the 2024 Ontario Building Code.
